A stressful watch with a happy ending. We'll wrap up the week in France, because struggling Lyon are facing Toulouse, and I can't accept that the home side are odds-on favourites.

Lyon are having a cataclysmic season, and the extraordinary prospect of one of the country's biggest clubs tumbling out of the top flight is becoming more and more realistic by the week. The hapless John Textor's tenure as owner couldn't have gotten off to a worse start. The American businessman's blunders when presenting the club's budget landed OL with a transfer restriction in the summer, and he has already fired two coaches this term. The seemingly disinterested Laurent Blanc appeared to be clamouring for the sack, and his replacement Fabio Grosso was a disaster.

Lyon have lost their last three league games, including a 3-0 hammering at Marseille in midweek. Caretaker coach Pierre Sage is trying to lift a demoralised group of players who simply aren't used to fighting this kind of battle. The club is paying the price for consistently selling young talent, and the defection of young French winger Bradley Barcola to PSG in the summer has proven to be a bitter blow.

Toulouse beat Liverpool in the Europa League recently, and although they have struggled to balance the demands of continental and domestic football, a young side has proven difficult to beat in recent games. Les Violets have drawn at Marseille, Brest and Lille this season, and they only lost 1-0 at Nice and 2-1 at Lens. Overall they have lost just five of their 14 league matches, and all we need them to do for our bet to land is avoid defeat.

Lyon are bottom and have won just once all season in Ligue 1, so I can only conclude that their price of 1.9210/11 to win this game is based on their name and reputation as a club, not the current reality. Lyon haven't won a single match at the Groupama this term, so let's lay them.
