Memphis Depay can hit the target for the Netherlands

"Memphis has multiple shots on target in eight of his last 10, while Lukaku has hit the target in 17 of 20 internationals."

Friday's column is backing Memphis Depay to carry the Dutch threat as they face Belgium, who should have Romelu Lukaku also hitting the target.

The Nations League continues with another heavyweight clash in League A between the Netherlands and Belgium.

It's the 128th time these teams have met in the Low Countries Derby, which may not sound like one of the great rivalries but given the strength of the two squads it's certainly a must-watch.

The Dutch leads the series W55, D31, L41.

Good luck picking the teams for this game though. Roberto Martinez has called this Nations League campaign "exciting" but Kevin De Bruyne labelled it as "unimportant". Make what you will of that.

Louis van Gaal went one further and called it "crazy" - and with his side facing four games in 11 days he's probably got a point.

But there are World Cup plans to be made at the least, and with Wales and Poland to come you'd think both teams would go strong here and make changes for the following two games.

Thibaut Courtois won't play so soon after his Man of the Match display in the Champions League final, but Eden Hazard might as he didn't play in Paris and needs minutes as he recovers from injury.

Dutch captain Virgil van Dijk will feature before being released to go on a well deserved break after playing so many games in his comeback season from a serious knee injury.

The local rival aspect means both sides should take it seriously, and that means Van Gaal should play Memphis Depay here - a player you really need to be on the right side of when he's playing in Oranje.

His 12 goals and six assists in 10 World Cup qualifiers was an outstanding return, and he'll fancy his chances against the ageing Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen.

A price I like on Memphis here is for two shots on target at 2.757/4 - around the same price as he is to score - but with a slightly better strike rate in the recent qualifiers.

Memphis scored in six of those 10 games but hit multiple shots on target in eight. In fact, he hit the target at least three times in those eight games but we'll adjust it down for the tougher opposition.

The two times he didn't were both away games too so we'll resist taking a punt on him to hit three shots on target at 6.05/1 - but the stats are there for the more adventurous of you.

For Belgium, Martinez should give Romelu Lukaku a start to run off some of his frustration after what was a difficult season at Chelsea.

At least he should be pretty fresh and he's just a different animal altogther when playing for his country, as scoring in 10 of his last 13 games for Belgium shows.

Lukaku has obviously got Van Dijk and Matthijs De Ligt to deal with but all we're asking from him here is one shot on target to boost out Bet Builder double.
