Alan Dudman successfully tipped a Sochaux and Paris FC draw yesterday and he is after his second winner in two days on Tuesday night in Cambridge...
"Cambridge are in much better pre-season form with three successive victories against Histon (0-4), Ely (0-4) and Bury Town (2-3)."
Back Over 3.5 Goals @ 2.68/5 Cambridge City v Hitchin Town
Cambridge City v Hitchin Town
Tuesday 2nd August 19:30
Success in Montbéliard last night as Sochaux and Paris FC played out a 0-0 draw to earn a 3.39/4 winner. Two red cards for Paris FC didn't help their quest, but I've gone into Kevin Hatchard's good books for some points to take into Tuesday. He will pay for the lunch lattes the next time we meet.
It's closer to home tonight in Cambridge - and that's the closest I'll ever get to being mentioned in the same sentence with Cambridge, home of the spires and the famous University.
The Lilywhites line up against Hitchin Town from the Southern Premier division for a pre-season friendly, and the visitors are strong favourites.
Hitchin start their league campaign this Saturday, so this will be their final friendly to add the finishing touches to a squad that all seemed to get a run-out at Biggleswade at the weekend.
One of my old teammates had a spell at Biggleswade years ago. Another of my ex-teammates from the 1990s also played for rival Hertfordshire club Baldock. And he had the worst touch I've ever seen - he could trap it further than I could kick it.
The Canaries of Herts go into Tuesday night following two draws with Watford U23s and a 1-1 against Biggleswade on Saturday but struggled once again to make any inroads from an attacking stance.
Cambridge are in much better pre-season form with three successive victories against Histon (0-4), Ely (0-4) and Bury Town (2-3).
That run of results is good enough for me to go with the Over 3.5 Goals tonight at around 2.47/5 on the Exchange, as the 2.5 Goals is a little too short at 1.548/15. I'll only get half a latte for that.
