Boca Juniors v Palmeiras
Thursday 28 September, (01:30 Fri)
A classic battle awaits on Thursday night in the semi-finals of the Copa Libertadores.
Two of South America's most famous clubs will go head-to-head at La Bombonera in Buenos Aires and it promises to be feisty.
As discussed before in this column, Argentina v Brazil clashes in this competition have a habit of producing cards and with so much at stake - even in this first leg - it's easy to foresee flashes of yellow, maybe even red.
Referee Wilmar Roldan should help on that front - the Colombian has produced 53 yellows and four reds in his nine Libertadores matches this season.
Six of those nine have seen at least six cards shown so over 5.5 looks a solid base for our Bet Builder.
Boca, who are chasing a record-equalling seventh Libertadores crown, look the side most likely to pick up cards.
They finished bottom of the fair play table in Argentina's league competition earlier this year and therefore look the team to turn to for further card bets.
The one I like the look of is Guillermo 'Pol' Fernandez be shown a card at 17/102.70.
The midfielder already been carded in 13 of his 36 starts this season - including eight of his last 11 - and should be kept busy here.
Palmeiras are one of the most attack-minded teams on the continent with Raphael Veiga a real menace just behind the front line. Tracking back and trying to break up play will be crucial.
Put the two legs together and you get a price of 23/103.30.
Now, sit back and watch the cards come out...
