You often find good opportunities when bookmakers open new markets and I think we've got an example of that this week.
Betfair are one of the first bookies to open 'player to be fouled' markets and it could pay to get involved at Selhurst Park.
Ahead of this 15th round of Premier League matches, Bournemouth had committed more fouls than every team bar Wolves, while hosts Palace were the fifth most-fouled side.
I'm therefore looking for Palace players in this new market and Michael Olise is the standout selection.
He's 4/71.57 to be fouled at least twice. That may seem short at first glance but when you consider it's something which has occurred in 18 of his last 19 appearances, you realise it's a great price.
With Eberechi Eze currently injured, even more of the play will go through Olise and making him the base of our Bet Builder looks a solid play.
At the same price, I also like Odsonne Edouard, Palace's regular centre forward, to be fouled at least once.
That's happened 10 times out of 14 this season and it won't take much for him to get a nudge in the back in an aerial challenge.
Finally in this market, let's back Jefferson Lerma to be fouled at 8/131.61.
The Eagles' midfielder faces his former club here and so it would be no surprise for someone to put a 'welcome' tackle on him.
Lerma, no stranger to a foul himself, has been fouled in seven of 11 games this season, including the last five.
Last but not least, I'm also keen on a slightly different angle and that's to back Adam Smith in the 'fouls committed' market.
The Bournemouth right-back is set to go up against Jordan Ayew, who has moved to the left of Palace's attack since Olise's return from injury.
That's notable because Ayew is the most-fouled player in the Premier League so far this season, being fouled 3.4 times per game, on average.
Smith, who has started the last two games at right-back, has committed a foul in four of his five starts this term and looks good for another here.
Add the four legs together and we get a tempting price of just over 4/15.00.
Even if it doesn't land, these markets look to be ones for stats followers to be tracking over the coming weeks.
