Reading v Swansea: Goals appeal at the prices

Reading 2.8615/8 v Swansea 2.6213/8, the Draw 3.412/5

Mark o'Haire says: "Reading have not relished recent league meetings with Swansea. The Royals have registered just a solitary success in 16 such showdowns with the Swans (W1-D8-L7) and have failed to pick up maximum points in each of their last seven home encounters with the Welsh outfit (W0-D4-L3). Meanwhile, the last four head-to-head match-ups have produced 22 goals.

"Reading 2.9215/8 remain in mid-table yet Paul Ince's side are just two points shy of the top-six. The Royals have produced their best work at their Berkshire base (W7-D1-L3), picking up eight points in four fixtures with top-half opposition (W2-D1-L1). However, the hosts' form has been patchy since the start of October, with only three triumphs in 12 (W3-D2-L7).

"As tends to be the way under Russell Martin, Swansea 2.608/5 have again dominated the possession stats in the Championship this season, although the visitors have tended to fall short when taking on the league's elite. Swans have posted W4-D3-L7 against sides in 15th and above and have regularly toiled on their travels this term (W3-D6-L3)."

Mark's bet: Back Both Teams to Score@ 1.8

Chelsea v Bournemouth: Both teams can score at the Bridge

Chelsea 1.341/3 v Bournemouth 11.521/2, the Draw 5.85/1

Dave Tindall says: "Bournemouth fans have enjoyed their trips to Stamford Bridge in recent seasons. Dan Gosling nicked an 84th minute winner when they last visited in December 2019 while the Cherries also won 3-0 in January 2018 and 1-0 in December 2015.

"Beyond Manchester City and Liverpool you won't find a top-flight team with more wins there over that time period. Chelsea are just 1.341/3 to gain all three points in this one while Bournemouth are 11.521/2 to score another away win. The Draw trades at 5.79/2.

"I have a feeling the break will have done Chelsea good and they'll benefit from a reset and probably take the points. But a lay of the hosts is certainly tempting."

Dave's bet: Back Both Teams to Score @ 2.26/5

Manchester United v Nottingham Forest: Expect goals

Man Utd 1.341/3 v Notts Forest 12.011/1, the Draw 5.85/1

Ben Steele: "Nottingham Forest's long awaited return to the Premier League has seen Steve Cooper's men be remarkably consistent in their inconsistency. Wins over Crystal Palace, West Ham and Liverpool have had the City Ground jumping but any Forest fan travelling with the team this season has usually returned to Nottingham disappointed.

"Eleven of Forest's 13 points this term have been picked up at home and Cooper's side have been on the end of a couple of hammerings as well. Table toppers Arsenal beat them 5-0 while Forest's last trip to Manchester saw them ship six to Erling Haaland and his City teammates.

"Brennan Johnson is the main worry for United and is priced accordingly (9/2 to score anytime) but I'm expecting David De Gea to have a relatively quiet day. No in the Both Teams to score market is priced @ 20/23 and I see it as a good bet for a single or a handy addition to a Bet Builder."

Ben's Bet Builder: Back Man Utd and Over 3.5 goals @ 2.915/8

Manchester United v Nottingham Forest: Back goals as Bruno stars

Stephen Tudor says: "For his club this term, Bruno Fernandes has posted a joint league high of 5.7 shots per game from outside the box and has averaged 2.5 key passes per 90. If he plays well, United tend to.

"At the back though there are concerns, with Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane still to return and Harry Maguire fighting off illness. With Forest a notably improved proposition of late that suggests the hosts won't have everything their way this Christmas."

Stephen's bet: Back BTTS @ 9/10

Burnley vs Birmingham: Chong to provide Christmas cheer for Blues

Burnley 1.654/6 v Birmingham 6.25/1, the Draw 4.03/1

Not The Top 20 says: "Birmingham fans making the trip north should do so with caution, as Burnley are unbeaten in their last 10 midweek league games (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday), winning five of them, since a 2-0 defeat to Leicester in the Premier League in March.

"They are also unbeaten in their last five league games against Birmingham (W2 D3), with the reverse meeting this season ending 1-1, but there is some hope for the away side given they have won two of their last four away league games against Burnley (D1 L1), though this is their first visit to Turf Moor since a 2-2 draw in August 2015.

"Tahith Chong scored his first goal of the season in the 3-2 win over Reading last weekend, and we need to be backing him to get on the scoresheet again here. Scott Hogan was missing for that game, so midfielder Chong played up front alongside Troy Deeney and the chances are he will get the chance to do so again here."

NTT20's bet: Back Tahith Chong to score anytime @ 10.09/1
