Is Dele not in Mourinho's plans?

The odds indicate that Tottenham forward Dele Alli will sign for the French champions before the transfer window closes, reports Max Liu...

"The odds say Manchester United 15/2 is Alli's next most likely destination."

Dele Alli is odds-on to sign for Paris Saint-Germain amid mounting speculation that he will leave Tottenham before the transfer window shuts on 5 October.

Alli, who has experienced a decline in his form for the past two seasons, could struggle to get into Jose Mourinho's Spurs side after the arrival of Gareth Bale on loan. The French champions are in pole position to sign the England attacking-midfielder.

Mourinho has never been shy of jettisoning players and it can be hard to regain his favour. Alli has been left out of Spurs' last two matchday squads and it could be that he has to leave to reignite his career.

PSG would be an enticing option for the 24-year-old who could enjoy playing alongside Kylian Mbappe and Neymar. He would almost certainly win the Ligue 1 title while there is also the possibility that Thomas Tuchel's side, fired up after reaching last season's Champions League final, will mount another serious challenge for European football's biggest prize.

Utd rated distant second option for Alli

The odds say Manchester United 15/2 is his next most likely destination. Mourinho revealed in the All Or Nothing documentary that Sir Alex Ferguson encouraged him to try to bring Alli to United when the Portuguese was in charge there.

It's unknown what Ole Gunnar Solskjaer thinks of Alli but, if United give up on signing Jadon Sancho, they could do worse than bid for the Spurs man. United need to add creativity up front and Alli would fit their young and attack-minded ethos.

There would, however, be Daniel Levy to contend with. United have come up against Daniel Levy's negotiating mettle before (just as Betfair Ambassador Dimitar Berbatov) and, no matter how much Mourinho wants Alli gone, Levy is sure to hold out for the highest fee possible.

Man City are 12/1 while the chances of Alli joining Carlo Ancelotti's Everton revolution is rate 14/1.

One thing is for sure - Alli is a major talent and, with the rescheduled Euro 2020 coming next summer, England fans will want him to have a successful season wherever he plays.

Suarez in and Oblak out at Atleti?

Luis Suarez is reported to be close to signing for Atletico Madrid. It had looked like he would sign for Juventus, or even see out his contract at Barcelona, but Diego Simeone is said to have sold the club to the Uruguayan.

One man who may, or may not, be on his way out of Atletico in this window is highly-rated goalkeeper Jan Oblak.

Chelsea are evens to sign the Slovenian stopper as they try to sign a replacement for the error-prone Kepa.

It will be fascinating to see if Roman Abramovich is prepared to pay out another big fee in this window, after already forking out around £200m on major signings.
