Premier League football tips and predicitions
12:30 - Aston Villa v Arsenal: Back league leaders in 13/1 Bet Builder
Opta: Villa are 3/1 to upset the Gunners, as they did home and away in the 2023/24 season, while it is 21/10 for the points to be shared. Villa are 5/6 to avoid defeat on the Double Chance market.
The Opta supercomputer also favours Arteta's side, who are given a 46.6% win probability. Villa's hopes of victory are rated at 28.9%, with the likelihood of a draw at 24.5%. Arteta's side have won 10 Premier League games this season, with eight of those victories coming to nil (80%) - it is their highest percentage of wins to nil in any campaign in the competition.
Arsenal are 2/1 for another shutout victory, with Villa 6/1 to achieve the same feat. However, after starting the season with no goals in their first four matches, Villa have only failed to score once in 16 outings across all competitions - in a 2-0 loss at Liverpool.

15:00 - Man City v Sunderland: Back Haaland goals
Mark Stincombe: One hundred Premier League goals. That's the return for Erling Haaland in just 111 appearances. The fastest centurion, doing it quicker than previous record holder Alan Shearer by 13 games. The breakdown reads 71 with his left foot, 17 with his head, 11 with his right foot and one by other body part. He is an absolute machine and his record this season now reads 20 goals in 18 games across league and Europe. I think this could be the match to back him for even more despite Sunderland's impressive start to the season.
The Black Cats are conceding the third most shots per-game this season (15.1 per-game) and are the biggest overachievers when you compare their actual goals conceded versus their expected goals (14 v 20.29). Essentially you cannot continue to concede lots of shots and not expect to concede multiple goals. They were made to work hard at Anfield and going to Man City just three days later is not ideal, particularly with the hosts having an extra days rest.
Back Erling Haaland to score two or more goals
15:00 - Tottenham v Brentford: Overs is the betting angle
Mark O'Haire: Tottenham have hugely underwhelmed under Frank's tutorship, while Tottenham's long-term home form has been diabolical - the hosts have tabled only three league wins in their last 21 home matches, keeping clean sheets in three of their previous 41 here. However, Brentford's road record also has cause for concern (W1-D0-L6).
The most straightforward selection then is to back Over 2.5 Goals at 1.90. Spurs have seen this line bank in 11 of their past 14 EPL and Champions League outings, including seven of their last eight. Despite their attacking issues, Tottenham have scored in 20 of 22 overall, yet 15 goals conceded in their last five fixtures points to problems at the back.
Meanwhile, Brentford have shipped multiple strikes in six of seven games as guests, scoring themselves in five of those away days. The Bees have seen the Over 2.5 Goals angle collect in nine of 14 overall, with Both Teams To Score also hitting on nine occasions - half of those overall 14 encounters have produced Over 3.5 Goals.

15:00 - Bournemouth v Chelsea: Cherries' record makes unders the pick
The Opta Stat:
Only Arsenal have conceded fewer home goals than Bournemouth (5) in the Premier League this season, though the Cherries suffered their first home defeat of the season against Everton last time out.
Back under 2.5 goals
17:30 - Leeds v Liverpool: Back 9/2 Bet Builder
Paul Higham: Dominic Calvert-Lewin has scored in his last two games and you know the former Everton man would love to make it three in a row against Liverpool of all teams - he's 5/2 to score anytime but is carrying an injury.
Mohamed Salah is 13/10 to find the net as he'll likely come back into the starting line-up, but for me Hugo Ekitike remains the most lively goal threat when he plays, and he's due a start in place of Alexander Isak, so the Frenchman's worth a look at 7/5 - especially if starting.
Preference here though is for a Bet Builder - starting with backing Dominik Szoboszlai and Florian Wirtz to both hit the target for Liverpool - the Hungarian has been their best player this season and leads the team in hitting the target - while Wirtz at least had some moments against Sunderland. Ethan Ampadu is always worth a look for a foul or two - and it's two that we'll back against what's still a talented Liverpool attack even if they're struggling to get it together right now.

EFL and FA Cup tips
15:00 Championship - Ipswich v Coventry: Back leaders to avoid defeat
Jack Critchley: Coventry continue to lead the way and have a 10-point advantage over second place Middlesbrough. The Sky Blues have struggled at the back, failing to keep a clean sheet in any of their last three games. They afforded Charlton multiple opportunities in the first-half and were also worryingly open against Middlesbrough 10 days ago.
Nevertheless, Frank Lampard's side are free-flowing and are scoring goals for fun. They took 26 shots with an xG of 2.43 at the weekend and Ellis Simms looks exceptionally sharp. Josh Eccles, who has barely featured this season has come into the XI and is already off the mark. They should be able to outscore the hosts and continue their momentum here.

15:00 FA Cup - Grimsby v Wealdstone: Back Mariners in acca at 102/1
Alan Dudman: It'll probably be time to wheel out the Wealdstone Raider for the weekend, although whether he fancies it against a bracing sea is another matter. Grimsby are a most curious beast - they can often play some super stuff and goals are never far away, but I cannot believe a side that has a swagger sometimes is down in mid-table.
The goals market is covered here with no gifts in the prices, as Grimsby have scored a massive 32 this term, but the Grimsby win will do for me to cover the -2 in the Alternative Handicap. They comfortably brushed aside Ebbsfleet in the previous round 3-1 thanks to a Danny Rose double, and they should have too much for the ninth in the National League Wealdstone.

14:30 Bundesliga - Stuttgart v Bayern Munich: Back hosts to hold their own
Kevin Hatchard: The schedule doesn't get easier for Bayern Munich, with a trip to Stuttgart one of the toughest on the calendar. Stuttgart have won their last seven competitive home matches, and they have held or beaten Bayern in three of the clubs' last eight meetings in league and cup. In the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup at the start of the season, Bayern won 2-1, but didn't steamroller Sebastian Hoeness' side.
Stuttgart are full of confidence on home soil, and in Deniz Undav they have one of the most in-form strikers in German football. Undav has scored nine goals in his last nine games in all competitions, including a goal in Tuesday's comfortable 2-0 win at Bochum in the DFB Pokal.
Stuttgart have had an extra day of rest, they are almost flawless at home and they can at least put up a fight here. If we back them +1.0 on the Asian Handicap at 2.22, we get a winner if Bayern fail to win, and our stake is returned if Bayern only win by one goal.
