Arsenal enjoyed a brilliant end to the festive football calendar, taking six points from two matches, while title rivals Man City dropped four points and fell six behind at the top of the table.

It is 1/41.25 that the Gunners will end the season as champions for the first time in 22 years. If they do that, they will succeed Thursday's opponents Liverpool who are currently fourth in the Premier League.

The Reds arrive in north London on the back of consecutive draws - first at home to Leeds then away to Fulham, the latter producing four goals and the former none.

Match Odds - Arsenal v Liverpool

Arsenal's mauling of title rivals Aston Villa, by four goals to one, was the pinnacle of a superb run of form at the Emirates. The Gunners have won their last seven home Premier League matches - only once under Mikel Arteta have they had a longer home league winning run, winning 10 consecutively between April and December 2022.

What's more, Arsenal are adept at beating reigning champions at the Emirates. They have won their last two home Premier League matches against the reigning champions, beating Man City in both 2023-24 and 2024-25.

Liverpool are one of only two teams to beat Arsenal this season after winning the reverse fixture at Anfield 1-0. Remember, though, that Villa beat Arsenal 2-1 before Arteta's men took them apart three weeks later. The leaders are a different animal at home.

Liverpool won three in a row before draws against Leeds and Fulham halted their momentum and served as reminders that Arne Slot's team remain unreliable.

With that in mind, we will back Arsenal at 4/71.57 to beat Liverpool, as part of a bet builder.

Back Arsenal and Liverpool to score

While Arsenal have been winning they have conceded in their last three league games, including twice against Bournemouth last time out.

The Gunners play with the self-belief that they can outscore any opponent but it does mean that their matches are ripe for backing both teams to score.

That is especially true when facing an attack of Liverpool's calibre. The Reds found the net twice in four of their last five league games, the blank against Leeds being the exception.

Gabriel goal completes bet builder

The form of Florian Wirtz has given his team a timely boost and he has two goals in his last three matches. The German is 9/25.50 to score on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Dominik Szoboszlai got the decisive goal in the reverse fixture and is one to watch again. Only Bruno Fernandes has been involved in more open play sequences ending in a shot in the Premier League this season (116) than Liverpool's Hungarian (103).

For Arsenal, Bukayo Saka - 7/42.75 to score - loves playing against Liverpool at the Emirates, scoring in each of his last three appearances here against the Reds.

Defender Gabriel Magalhaes has scored in his last two appearances and, at 15/28.50, is the one will back, as his aerial power could cause an uncertain Liverpool defence plenty of problems.
