Opta Sunday Preview: Low goal count to continue at Anfield
Andy Carroll is booked here but the former Newcastle man is finally finding some form

"Having endured their worst run of form for nearly 60 years, Liverpool appear to have steered themselves on the right track with back-to-back wins in the league and FA Cup."

Liverpool are in a better state than they were in a couple of weeks ago but the Opta stats say goals have been difficult to come by at Anfield in recent times. That trend looks set to continue, says Feizal Rahman.

Liverpool v West Bromwich Albion, KO: Sunday 16:00, Match Odds: Liverpool 1.4840/85, West Brom 8.415/2, The Draw 4.84/1

Having endured their worst run of form for nearly 60 years, Liverpool appear to have steered themselves on the right track with back-to-back wins in the league and FA Cup. Yet, their record at home remains seriously below-par with just one win in the last six, which have seen two defeats.

West Brom have suffered four losses in their last seven against teams above them in the table but took maximum points against two teams below them. Having held solid away form early season, the Baggies have trailed off recently with three losses from four, scoring just a single goal in this period.
Opta underline that Roy Hodgson's side have a dire record at Anfield, losing each of their five Premier League visits and doing so without finding the net once. A Liverpool Clean sheet is available at 2.26/5 with a Liverpool Win to Nil on offer at 1.855/6.

Opta indicate that Anfield has produced the fewest goals this term so Under 2.5 Goals should have its merits at 2.35/4 with a 2-0 Correct Score trading at 8.415/2.

Kenny Dalglish's men have scored just five in their last six at Anfield - these all from Steven Gerrard and Luis Suarez. However, Andy Carroll has suddenly found his goalscoring touch - hitting the winner in his last two starts - and can be backed at 2.68/5 To Score.
