Founded in 1904, Hull City Association Football currently compete in the English Premier League after being promoted back into the top-tier in 2013. After previously playing their home games at Boothferry Park, the club moved to their current home, the KC Stadium, in 2002.

Hull City's record home attendance at their former home was 55,019, for a match against Manchester United on 26 February 1949, with their highest attendance at the KC Stadium coming in May of 2010 when 25,030 were in attendance for the game against Liverpool for the last match of the season.
With their traditional home kit of black and amber stripes, Hull City have long been nicknamed The Tigers. In 2013, the club were re-registered as the Hull City Tigers, a decision that didn't go down well with all the club's supporters, although the Premier League has announced it will continue to refer to the club as 'Hull City' during the 2013-2014 season.
Hull's greatest achievement in cup competitions was in 1930, when they reached the FA Cup semi-finals. The semi-final match against Arsenal took place at Elland Road in Leeds. The game ended 2-2, and was taken to a replay where the Gunners knocked Hull out at Aston Villa's home ground thanks to a 1-0 victory.
In 2007-2008 they achieved promotion to the top flight of English football for the first time in their history, winning the Championship play-off final against Bristol City, with Phil Brown's side securing their place in the top flight for the first time through a memorable Dean Windass volley.
The Tigers finished the 2008-2009 season 17th in the Premier League table, successfully avoiding relegation by one point. However, the club failed to repeat their achievements the previous season, suffering relegation back into the Football League after their second year in the top-flight.
However, a return to the Premier League came just two seasons later, when Steve Bruce led the club back into the top-flight, securing promotion on a thrilling final day ahead of Watford, with bitter rivals Leeds United's victory at Vicarage Road ironically helping The Tigers back into the big time in scenes that will long be remembered fondly by Hull fans.
Following promotion back into the Premier League, Hull broke their transfer record with the £5.25million signing of midfielder Tom Huddlestone from Tottenham Hotspur, and the club will now be looking to cement themselves back in the top flight.
