Every now and then a football team will come along in Europe and record themselves for the rest of history in the sport's lengthy history books.

This will either be achieved simply by the sheer volume of trophies won, or by going on an unbeaten run throughout a particular season or over a number of years.
In 1880, the term the Invincibles was given to the Preston North End team that went through the full season unbeaten. The Lancashire club won the league and double during the campaign as they won 18 matches, drew four and had 0 losses. They are still to this day the only team to win the double without losing a game in either competition.
More famously, in the 2003/2004 Premier League season, Arsenal matched Preston by going through their league season unbeaten to earn the same tag of the Invincibles. The Gunners avoided defeat in 38 games during the campaign, which saw them lift the Premier League trophy. There were 26 wins and 12 draws from their results.
The North London football team continued their unbeaten run into the next season as they broke Nottingham Forest's record of 42 consecutive games without a loss. Their run eventually came to an end on 49 when they were beaten by Manchester United 2-0 at Old Trafford.
United's football team of 1998/1999 will also be remembered for years to come as they won the treble that season, the players lifting the UEFA Champions League along with the Premier League and FA Cup.
Sir Alex Ferguson's side became the first in England to achieve such a feat, which also helped them to become the most successful football team in the club's history.
The league that season was wrapped up thanks to a 2-1 victory against Tottenham at Old Trafford in the final game of the campaign. Goals from David Beckham and Andy Cole helped them to the three points which was enough to finish above Arsenal by a mere point in the table.
Just under a week later, United completed the double by winning the FA Cup at Wembley. They were able to defeat Newcastle 2-0 in the capital. Teddy Sheringham and Paul Scholes were on the scoresheet in the win.
The final leg of the treble arrived in Spain at the Nou Camp in a thrilling finish. The Red Devils were trailing 1-0 to German giants Bayern Munich before two stoppage time goals snatched the win in 90 minutes with a final score of 2-1. Sheringham came off the bench to level the scores in the first added minute, while just two minutes later Ole Gunnar Solskjaer won the game for the English club to stun Bayern.
