Football Bet of the Day: Mirandes to blank at Los Blanquillos

In the Netherlands last night, Ajax did their thing and thrashed Den Haag 5-0, but it was a clean kill. No cards in the match at all, which means Kev's bet died too. He's now got a week off to build back better, while we're looking to level up in Spain tonight.

Seventeeth-placed Zaragoza entertain ninth-placed Mirandes in the Segunda Division this evening and we fancy the lower-ranked hosts could nick a result.

Zaragoza have turned their season around recently, winning five of their last six home league games, including 4/5 under new boss Juan Martinez. Los Blanquillos have kept clean sheets in all five victories and look capable of shutting out today's goal-shy visitors.

Despite their position in the top half, Mirandes have scored nine times across their last 12 road trips. Jose Alberto's Reds are W4-D1-L7 in those matches, losing each of the most recent two. Last time out, they lost 0-4 at 19th-placed Alcorcon. We're not expecting anything quite so one-sided today, but we'll take Zaragoza at an odds-against price to find a way of nabbing all three points.
