"Fjolnir have been awful at home, but they have already held Vikingur to a draw this season, and the visitors are an inconsistent bunch."
After picking up a winner in Iceland, Kev's keeping us there to take on an odds-on favourite.
Hosts to break home hoodoo
Fjolnir v Vikingur Reykjavik
Thursday 20 August, 19:00
Our first winner of the week arrived with room to spare last night, as our boys Keflavik smacked Vikingur Olafsvik 6-1 in the Icelandic second tier. We'll drag ourselves up a level tonight, and take in Vikingur Reykjavik's trip to fellow capital club Fjolnir in the Urvalsdeild.
Newly-promoted Fjolnir just can't seem to get going at their Extravollurin ground. They have lost their last five league games at home, and have conceded at least twice in all of those encounters. Overall, they have taken just three points from ten matches this term, and they haven't won a league game since last September.
Vikingur aren't in amazing form themselves, with just three wins in their last ten, and they have only won once in five away matches. They have only scored four goals across those five outings. Former Bolton striker Arnar Gunnlaugsson is at the helm, and is struggling to find consistency on the road - the last time Vikingur managed back-to-back away wins was in 2018.
The last two games between these two have ended level, and although Fjolnir's home form is poor, I do feel the visitors are too short here at 1.491/2.
