Tip #1 - AC Milan to win @ 4/111.36

AC Milan v Sassuolo
Sunday 13th December
Kick off: 11:30

Serie A

Milan have been the most complete side in Serie A so far this season, with Massimiliano Allegri finding a system which has brought some consistency to a team that really struggled last season.

This could actually play out to their advantage in the league with the majority of their opponents at the top of Serie A competing in some sort of European competition, giving Milan an edge when it comes to fitness in these gameweeks following a European matchday.

Milan have won five of their seven games at home this season, with Cremonese being the only side to beat them at home. That victory came on the first weekend of the season, when Milan were still adapting to the style and structure of Allegri. Milan have only lost one game in all competitions since that defeat, which was a 1-0 loss to Lazio in the Coppa Italia.

Sassuolo can be a stubborn side, as displayed by their three wins on the road this season, but do lack the resilience to be able to grind out results. Sassuolo have only drawn two of their 14 matches in Serie A this term, suggesting that their results tend to swing in either direction.

Tip #2- Basel to win @ 4/71.57

Basel v Lausaane Sport
Sunday 13th December
Kick off: 15:30
Swiss Super League

Basel are facing a battle for supremacy in the Swiss Super League this season with the club sitting third in the table, behind St Gallen and Thun. These rankings aren't that important as the Swiss Super League breaks off into two groups at the end of the season, a championship group and a relegation group.

That being said, being top in the league phase is still a real advantage to a sides' chances of claiming the title, and Basel have ground to make up in this regard, with the club sitting seven points behind Thun who have won 11 of their 16 matches in the Swiss top flight.

Basel have been strong at home, losing just two of their seven matches in front of their home fans. They take on a Lausanne side, who are very entertaining, but struggle on the road with just one win from their seven away matches.

Lausanne did manage to run out 5-1 winners in the most recent meeting between the sides, but their home form is far superior to their away displays, so it's unlikely that we see this level of performance again from the travelling side. Basel have won each of the two previous head-to-head meetings, both taking place this year.

Tip #3- Strasbourg to win @ 4/61.67

Strasbourg v Lorient
Sunday 13th December
Kick off: 16:15
Ligue 1

Strasbourg are finding it a little difficult to strike a balance between their European assignments and domestic duties, with Liam Rosenior presiding over one of the youngest sides in Europe. They've lost each of their last three games in Ligue 1, despite winning both of their matches in the Conference League in between these defeats.

This game represents an ideal opportunity for Strasbourg to correct their recent poor domestic record, they face off against the worst travelling side in Ligue 1. Lorient have not won a game away from home in the French top flight this term, losing five of their seven matches. They've conceded 14 goals across these matches (2.0 per game), which is not a sustainable record if Lorient want to survive in Ligue 1 for another season.

Despite the recent dip in form domestically, Strasbourg's home record is very strong with five wins from their seven home games. They've scored 14 goals across these matches, which is a scoring power that Lorient will struggle to match seeing as they've only scored twice across their seven away games this season - the lowest tally of any travelling side in the French top flight this term.

Tip #4- Inter Milan to win @ 1/21.50

Genoa v Inter Milan
Sunday 13th December
Kick off: 17:00
Serie A

Inter have won 10 of their 14 games in Serie A this term, including four of their six away matches, with this record offering promise for their visit to Genoa.

Genoa have a dismal home record with just one win from their seven home matches this term. Only Fiorentina (2) have picked up fewer points at home than Genoa this season, which can offer an avenue for Inter Milan to get closer to the league leaders.

Genoa have only scored four goals across these seven matches which is a big issue against a side like Inter Milan, who have kept the joint most clean sheets in Serie A this term (7). Genoa have only won three matches in Serie A this season, with these victories coming against Udinese, Sassuolo and Hellas Verona.

Inter may have lost 1-0 to Liverpool in the Champions League during the week, but their domestic form has been very strong of late, with back-to-back wins against Como and Venezia heading into this clash, netting 4+ goals in both matches.
