"Unbeaten under their second manager of the season, Crawley ended Barrow’s four-game unbeaten run. Opta point out they haven’t lost in five, having lost the previous four."

Lewis Young's audition for Crawley manager can continue with a point at Walsall, says Ian Lamont, who also tips Stevenage and Doncaster away...

Odds don't reflect level pegging form

Walsall 1.9420/21 v Crawley 5.04/1; the draw 3.613/5

In one sense, Walsall seem obvious favourites having won five, drawn two and lost only twice at Banks's Stadium, where they have a healthy 15-7 goal difference. On the other hand, had the season started six games ago, their opponents would have just as many points (11).

Therefore, Lewis Young's Reds, unbeaten in five League Two matches (an FA Cup exit to League One Accrington is excusable), don't seem to have been given enough respect by the layers and are underrated and over priced.

Unbeaten under their second manager of the season, they ended Barrow's four-game unbeaten run. Opta point out they haven't lost in five, having lost the previous four.

Ashley Nadesan scored his fifth goal in five games, showing consistency, even if the Sussex side only scored once despite starting with three strikers for the first time since the opening day. What a frontline, too! Dom Telford, League Two's top scorer, has recovered from injury to find his way back into the team alongside Nadesan and Tom Nichols, both regular goal getters.

The fact that Crawley defended successfully after taking a sixth minute lead is an added factor to their chances of sharing the points again here. It was a first clean sheet since August to surely complete Young's audition for the manager's job permanently (a misnomer but we'll let it pass!).

Michael Flynn is making progress with the Saddlers, but will not be taking anything for granted against a team with a form turnaround despite, as Opta say, attempting to win five home games for the first time since March 2017.
Confident about another win after four straight home victories, he should be mindful that Rochdale and Harrogate, the last two teams beaten there, have not been the toughest of opponents this season.

He'd love Danny Johnson to be on top form and make it 10 goals for the league season, or young Isaac Hutchinson to continue his scoring having found the net twice in the past six games. The visitors will be in no mood to give up their momentum.

Three Rs make Stevenage roar

Grimsby 3.55/2 v Stevenage 2.56/4; the draw 3.412/5

Stevenage's record away isn't perfect. It is less strong than the excellent home form which has helped propel them to second in League Two. Sometimes Steve Evans has berated his side for being lacklustre on their travels. However, if they perform anywhere near their best they should win at Grimsby.

If. It's a huge world, not least because Stevenage have drawn two of their last three away, at Colchester (with whom Matt Bloomfield seems happy with their dominance but not finishing) and Gillingham. Two sides from the bottom three.

They also inflicted a rare home defeat on Doncaster in between those two results, Danny Rose netting one of his four goals in the last five games. So if they can turn in a performance like that, adding to Grimsby's home woes should not be a huge problem. With Jordan Roberts and Jamie Reid backing up Rose, it's a case of the three Rs making Stevenage roar.

All that assessment is probably a little unfair on the Mariners, who have four draws at Blundell Park but just one win.

Doncaster took all three points from Grimsby, who all had an off day according to boss Paul Hurst. That John McAtee scored on his return from injury was no consolation. Harry Clifton had a strong chance from distance, but the hosts will have to raise their game to defeat a visiting side - and manager - on a mission.

Sutton have a chance to steady ship

Sutton 2.26/5 v Rochdale 3.814/5; the draw 3.6466/25

Jim Bentley has found life reasonably tough as Rochdale manager. Four wins from 12 in charge, plus two draws, has lifted them to 20th, three places above the relegation zone.

The Dale boss gave away a certain mentality after narrowly losing to Mansfield. "I said it was important to win [of two home games against Salford and Mansfield] - and let's not forget who we are playing." It's as if he didn't truly expect it.

Striker Ian Henderson was delighted to beat Salford, not least because he became Rochdale's highest ever goalscorer. He had a feeling he was going to score that day. Devante Rodney needs to develop a similar feeling regularly. Their recent games have been tight: one goal either way deciding the last three.

They will fancy their chances of attaining a positive result though at Sutton, who have not had a great run either. They have not scored in two games. Three if you could the home FA Cup exit to non-league Farnborough.

Matt Gray would be happy, surely, if Omar Bugiel or Donovan Wilson could net a goal to help secure a draw, to stop the defeats after just one win in nine (two draws).

Doncaster aware of difficult challenge

Colchester 2.68/5 v Doncaster 3.185/40; the draw 3.412/5

Matt Bloomfield might believe that his charges have deserved more for their efforts than two points from the last six games, but a lack of goals has certainly been a major factor. Freddie Sears should convert more than he does, but doesn't have the speed or energy perhaps that made him such a promising player at West Ham and Crystal Palace in his youth. He netted 14 times last season and has two this campaign.

The U's manager believes his side are making "strides forward". He is determined to turn the season around. Samson Tovide, 18, has vowed to leave nothing on the pitch in his bid to help Colchester - winless in eight - lift themselves off the bottom. Opta point out they have won once in 14 games.

Luke Molyneux, of Doncaster, says "it is always different" facing sides near the foot of the table. Colchester, he says, will be unpredictable. Strugglers graft. Doncaster have not always enjoyed long away trips this season, to Barrow, Hartlepool and Carlisle where they lost. They were all northern visits and it could be no different here going south. However, they can definitely draw on a fine win at Grimsby last weekend, George Miller and Harrison Biggins scoring.

Miller came in for high praise about his all round abilities - and his footballing skills on top - from boss Danny Schofield.

A change of manager already this season indicates Rovers' ambition and dissatisfaction with wandering around mid-table. There is the possibility of a leap into the top seven this weekend, if they can win "down south".
