Saturday's Daily Acca features both evening Premier League fixtures, and one from Serie A, with Paul Robinson expecting goals at St James' Park.

  • High-scoring affair on Tyneside.
  • Arsenal to drop points at Molineux.
  • Resurgent Bologna to pick up another win.

Bet 1: Back Over 2.5 Goals in Newcastle v Chelsea @ 20/23 - KO 17:30 GMT

Newcastle needed penalties to beat Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup during the week, but Eddie Howe didn't play his best XI, and the result still extended their unbeaten run to 10 in all competitions.

Chelsea were knocked out at Manchester City on Wednesday, and while that can be forgiven, it came on the back of a home defeat to Arsenal, and a 4-1 loss at Brighton the weekend before.

I am leaning towards goals in this game, with one reason being that the Magpies have scored four in each of their last two in the league, and prior to that they won 2-1 at Spurs. In their last three at home, they have put the ball in the net on 10 occasions.

The visitors have seen four of their last six on the road end with three goals or more, and Graham Potter will be setting up his team to win, given that this is their last game before the break for the World Cup.

Bet 2: Back Wolves to Win or Draw @ 11/8 - KO 19:45 GMT

Julen Lopetegui officially takes charge of Wolves for the first time today, but he was likely somewhat involved for the team's Carabao Cup victory during the week.

With the former Sevilla boss now on the touchline for the first time, the players will be keen to impress, especially as there is a transfer window coming up.

League leaders, Arsenal, exited the cup on Wednesday, but Mikel Arteta will have his big guns back in the XI today, and they have won six of their last seven in the league.

I am still not 100% convinced by the Gunners though, and some of their victories have been very narrow indeed. At Molineux, with a new manager in the home dugout, I can definitely see the hosts taking something from this game.

Bet 3: Back Bologna @ 13/10 - KO 19:45 GMT

It's 14th versus 13th in Serie A tonight, with both teams having identical records of played 14, won four, drawn four and lost six.

Three of Bologna's four wins have come from their last four league outings though, and they have also recorded a victory in the Coppa Italia.

This improvement has coincided with Thiago Motta taking over as manager, and I am happy to forgive their 6-1 defeat at Inter during the week.

Sassuolo are the visitors, and they have won just one of their last six in Serie A - losing on four occasions. On their travels it's three straight defeats.
