The Daily Acca: City to kick off this 9/2 treble

Manchester City manager - Pep Guardiola

Sunday's Daily Acca features wins for three of Europe's heavyweights, and Paul Robinson's selections add up to a 9/25.50 treble.

  • City to overpower Arsenal again

  • PSG to win Le Classique

  • Another win for Real Madrid

Leg 1 Man City (90mins) @ 5/61.84 (16:30)

Manchester City have won their last eight home matches against Arsenal, and while the Gunners are arguably at their strongest since that run began, it's worth remembering April 2023, when they were swept aside 4-1 here when they were still in the title race.

Mikel Arteta's men start the day sitting top of the table, but just a single point separates the three teams, and there is every chance that they will be in third place come 7pm.

Pep Guardiola has a couple of injury issues in defence, but their big game mentality should give them the edge here.

Leg 2 PSG (90mins) @ 10/111.91 (19:45)

PSG are 10 points clear at the top, and while they face a tricky trip to Marseille this evening, I am expecting them to take all three points.

This fixture is littered with drama, with September 2020's Le Classique seeing five red cards in injury time. That was the last time that Marseille beat PSG in Ligue One, with Paris winning five of the next six.

Luis Enrique's side won 6-2 at Montpellier when last in action, which took their away record to nine wins and four draws from 13 fixtures this term.

The hosts are unbeaten at home - eight wins and five draws - but it's worth noting that they have lost their two most recent outings, which could affect their confidence.

Leg 3 Real Madrid (90mins) @ 8/151.53 (20:00)

Athletic Bilbao are pushing for a place in next season's Champions League, but their away record isn't overly compelling, and a trip to the Bernabeu is the hardest in all of Spain.

Carlo Ancelotti's side have only dropped four points at home all season, with Rayo Vallecano and Atletico Madrid managing to snatch draws.

The visitors have won just one of their last five on their travels though, and they failed to score at Valencia, Cadiz and Almeria, during that period.
