The Acca pays approximately 10/1

It's a 10/1 Daily Acca for Paul Robinson today, with action the League Cup, Champions League and Ligue One. Here are his selections:

Coventry to progress in League Cup

Bet 1: Back Coventry @ 6/5 - KO 18:00 BST

The Sky Blues have been a good cup team under Mark Robins, and while they were beaten in their Championship opener on Saturday, I expect them to be able to win at League One's, Gillingham, this evening.

Coventry won at MK Dons in the previous round, and that was after being reduced to 10 men in their 27th minute, with the score still at 0-0.

Rotherham lost 0-2 at home to Hull at the weekend, and they were beaten by today's opponent in their only meeting in the league last season.

Greeks to prove too tough for Benfica

Bet 2: Back PAOK to Qualify @ 2/1 - KO 18:30 BST

Benfica are long odds-on to qualify from the third round of this Champions League qualifier, but they aren't the force of old, and I think that PAOK are the value to get the job done on home soil.

Jorge Jesus is back in charge of the Portuguese club, and this is his first competitive game in charge. It could take him a while to turn around the fortunes of a team who have struggled in 2020, and I just don't see them being the favourites here.

The Greeks won their opening domestic league game on Friday, and they have already seen off Besiktas in the previous round of this competition. In last year's tournament, they only narrowly lost to Ajax - going down 5-4 on aggregate.

More dropped points for Lyon

Bet 3: Back Montpellier & Draw @ 4/6 - KO 20:00 BST

Lyon disappointed at Bordeaux last time, as they could only draw 0-0. Prior to that they had thrashed Dijon 4-1, but that was basically just shooting practice, and they actually should have scored more.

Montpellier will be a much tougher opponent, and after losing 2-1 at Rennes in their season opener, they beat Nice 3-1 on Saturday.

The hosts finished in eighth place last season - with the same amount of points as Lyon - and they won 10 of their 14 on their own patch, losing just twice.
