It's all about the MLS for Paul Robinson tonight as he doesn't expect many fireworks in the three games he is focusing on. Here are his selections:
DC United's goal struggles to continue
Bet 1: Back Under 2.5 Goals in DC United v New England 19/20 - KO 00:00 BST (Wed)
The MLS has definitely become a lot more low-scoring since it returned from lockdown, and that has certainly been the case for these two teams.
The hosts have played four and netted just three times - which has resulted in them failing to record a victory during that period. The better news for DC fans is that due to only conceding four goals themselves, they actually managed to draw three of their four outings.
It is a very similar story for the Revs, as after opening up with a 1-0 win over Montreal Impact, they have since gone on to draw three and lose one of their last four.
As far as the goals go, over the course of their five matches, they have scored twice and conceded three - with all five of their outings seeing this selection land.
Chicago's attack far from on fire
Bet 2: Back Under 2.5 Goals in Chicago Fire v Cincinnati @ 1/1 - KO 00:30 BST (Wed)
Chicago come into the game on the back of three straight defeats - all without scoring a goal. Prior to that they did beat Seattle 2-1, but there definitely has to be a concern about their ability to put the ball in the net at present.
The visitors have played five times since the MLS returned, and four of their five matches finished with two goals or fewer being scored - including a 0-0 last time out.
They have kept a very tight ship since conceding four against Columbus Crew, and they will be confident of another clean sheet at the goal-shy, Chicago.
Strikers to be chilly in Philly
Bet 3: Back Under 2.5 Goals in Philadelphia Union v New York RB @ 6/5 - KO 00:30 BST (Wed)
The U have managed to get seven MLS fixtures in since the end of lockdown, and they have fallen to just one defeat. That loss did come as recently as two games ago though, and they could only follow it up with a 0-0 draw at New England.
The Metros have played four - winning two and losing two. All four of the matches ended with two goals or fewer, and they fired blanks at Columbus and Cincinnati.
This is the biggest price of the three Under 2.5 selections, but I believe that it should be odds-on, given the recent stats.
