Safe Sub helped a punter win more than £5K on Wednesday with a Champions League fouls double that would have been a loser were it not for the Betfair football product. 

What's more the brilliant win came from a £10 stake. Not bad for an evening's work, although it would not have been possible without Safe Sub.

Here's why.

The lucky punter backed Josko Gvardiol to commit 3+ fouls in Manchester City v Borussia Dortmund. They also backed Club Brugge's Nicolo Tresoldi to do the same when his side took on Barcelona in Belgium. 

City's Gvardiol delivered, committing five fouls in his team's victory. Tresoldi had only committed one and, with time running out for the bet, was substituted in the 78th minute. 

That turned out to be good news for our bettor because the man who replaced Tresoldi, Romeo Vermant, wasted no time in putting himself about and comitted three fouls, landing the bet.
