Everton salvage a point off the Yak's back while defensive blunders and touches of class stop the rot for Cities.
Gary O'Neill was backed at [50.0] to be the first goalscorer at Goodison Park before he latched on to Stewart Downing's pass to put Middlesborough ahead with a deft finish past Tim Howard in the eighth minute.
Everton huffed and puffed until Mikel Arteta's free-kick was deflected into the Boro net off Yakubu's back. It was the Nigerian's fourth goal of the season and his first for 10 games. He was later substituted with David Moyes throwing on Victor Anichebe and Steven Pienaar as the home side chased victory but the match ended in a 1-1 draw - backed at [5.8] in the Match Odds market and [8.4] for the Correct Score.
The result moves Everton, who can now be backed at [7.2] in the Winner Without the Big Four market, to sixth in the Premier League, while Middlesborough climb to eighth.
Hull City ended their losing streak with a 2-2 draw, backed at [19.0] as the correct score, at home to Manchester City.
David Cousin was [10.5] to open the scoring at the KC stadium and that's exactly what he did when he was gifted the ball in the Manchester City penalty area by Tal Ben Haim.
City hit back when Stephen Ireland capitalised on a similar error at the other end but Ireland need no such assistance to score his second when he swept a stunning strike into the Hull net on the stroke of half-time
Ex-City midfielder Geovanni brough the homeside back into it in the second-half when his free-kick was deflected past substitue goalkeeper Kasper Schmeicel.
Over 4.5 goals was backed at [4.1] while the draw traded at a high of [5.2].
