Robbie Keane completes his acrimonious move to Liverpool where he is looking forward to linking up with Fernando Torres.
After completing his protracted transfer to Liverpool, Robbie Keane is beginning a new chapter in his life which he says is a dream come true.
Keane, a boyhood Liverpool supporter, has joined Liverpool for around £20 million - the second highest fee the reds have ever paid for a player- and the Irishman is delighted with the move.
But Tottenham were relucant to sell Keane, who scored 80 goals in 197 appearances during a six year spell at the club, and complained to the Premier League about Liverpool's conduct - a complaint they have since retracted. Neverthless, Spurs chairman Dan Levy yesterday described the transfer as an "enforced sale", describing the fee as "compensation."
Today Keane said: "I had six fantastic seasons at Tottenham. I gave everything, always 110%, and I enjoyed every minute at the club.
"This is a new chapter in my life and I can only focus on what is best for me."
Keane is [20.0] to be in Betfair's Premier League Top Goalscorer market with Liverpool [8.6] to win the Premier League.
