14:00 at Newmarket - Ryan Moore: City of Troy will be hard to beat in the Dewhurst
"There is a lot more rain around on Friday so we have to keep an eye on that, but there is no doubting that City Of Troy (Newmarket 14:00) is one hugely talented colt. Don't get me wrong, you have to respect a few in here, and the likes of Iberian are proven in deep ground if it gets that bad, but none can approach the form he showed in winning the Superlative Stakes in a very good time and a reproduction of that performance will see him very hard to beat here. He is simply a very exciting colt."
14:40 at Newmarket - Kevin Blake: The Very Man for the Cesarewitch
"The Cesarewitch is a race that rewards tractability and a relaxed racing style. Getting all the way down to the two-mile two-furlong start in an energy-efficient manner is just as important as relaxing in the race itself and horses have to relax to give themselves a chance. The Very Man is just that type of horse and will relish the extreme stamina test that this race will present on rain-softened ground. The market has been very dismissive of his chance, but I could see him run a big race at a big price."
15:10 at Chepstow - Paul Nicholls: Knappers Hill can extend fine record
"Knappers Hill is a standing dish at this meeting, having won here for each of the last three years. So this race was the logical choice for his debut over fences and if things go well he will then head to Wincanton for the Rising Stars Chase. As a youngster he wasn't the most natural over hurdles but he was very slick over them last winter and I'm very pleased with his schooling over fences. I can't wait to see how what he can do as a chaser."
15:50 at Newmarket - Tony Calvin: Back slop monster Raadobarg
Tony Calvin: "I am working on the basis of heavy ground, I have to have Raadobarg onside as he is a very talented slop monster.
"He is also in very good form, he ran very well over course and distance in the Earl Of Sefton on good to soft here earlier in the season, and I just hope he is given a more patient ride than at Sandown last time. I suspect he will be over this longer trip."
