After a roaring success in its first year, Betfair's 'National Jockey Day' returns on Saturday 21 November aiming to raise up to £50,000 for the Injured Jockeys Fund. This year's event takes place in collaboration with the Betfair Chase Festival, and Betfair will donate...
£1 for every Tweet which contains the hashtag #NationalJockeyDay
£1 every time a bet is placed on the National Jockey Day Double Market

Combined, both donation methods are up to a maximum of £50,000 and you can keep track of the total live on the day on www.nationaljockeyday.com
National Jockey Day is backed by campaign ambassador Mick Fitzgerald and Champion trainer Paul Nicholls. Industry supporters also include Olympic Cycling champion Victoria Pendleton - currently in training to become a jockey with the support of Betfair - and a selection of professional jockeys, past and present, including Ryan Moore, John Francome, Sam Twiston-Davies, Alice Mills and Nick Scholfield.
Betfair's Naomi Totten said: "Jockeys are undoubtedly some of the hardest working elite athletes in sport and they deserve a day of recognition for their unwavering efforts. By once again partnering with the Injured Jockeys Fund, we hope this year's campaign can go further than last year and enable us to give an even greater amount to an integral industry charity.
"Whether you work in the industry or you're simply a racing fan, we urge people to get involved, support the campaign and raise awareness by sharing #NationalJockeyDay via social media."
Lisa Hancock, CEO of Injured Jockeys Fund said: "The Injured Jockeys Fund is delighted to be part of National Jockey Day, which is going from strength to strength since its inception last year.
It's a fantastic idea from Betfair and a great way to recognise the dedication and commitment of jockeys at all levels while at the same time raising funds to help those who inevitably get injured along the way."
