Backing Teddy Boy at 11/112.00 with an All-Weather record of just one win from 22 starts is hardly a confidence booster, but he often places and has produced five seconds and two thirds from those 22 starts, so with the drift from 15/28.50 to 11/112.00, he has become the de facto each-way bet for the 19:00.
He's not been in bad form either on the turf and was last seen in a huge field at Navan over the extended 5f finishing in sixth, but he was beaten just under 2L in that and was also short of room inside the final furlong.
Previously he had gone even closer with a fourth at Navan and second at Cork - both on testing ground and he stayed on quite well for the fourth.
The 8yo is a tough old customer and tonight will be his 89th career start, so while there are no secrets from his current mark of 56, the apprentice James Ryan can take off 5lb and 6f is his trip these days rather than a sharp 5f.
We've got the Extra Place Special on the Sportsbook to play with for the four places in the 19:30 1m2f Handicap and a couple appeal in the race with Comfort Line and Dabana both on the shortlist this morning.
However, I plumped for Stormy Jenn, and she had drifted to 12/113.00 on the Sportsbook this morning from 10s.
The 6yo filly is lightly-raced on the All-Weather with just two starts and she's more than capable in this grade now that her mark has dropped a little from 71 and 72.
She ran well in third at the Curragh in deep ground when last seen, and the 1m2f trip suited her much better than the previous 1m, with Stormy Jenn running on with an unlucky effort as she waited for a gap 2f out that didn't come.
The 1m2f distance looks her best trip these days and she has acted on the track previously with a placed run last October from a poor draw.
From 67, she is a 1lb lower than her effort last time at the Curragh.
