Alan Dudman had a single winner yesterday and his two bets on Tuesday run at Market Rasen and Taunton for his double...

Take a chance on King hurdler with better going

Hashtag Boum over trip a plus
One son of Doyen couldn't deliver yesterday with Doyen Du Bar's flop, which meant we missed our double as Against The Breeze won nicely and was very well backed. However, Alan King's The Doyen Chief is part of a three-way posse at the top of the market for the 13:50 and it looks a three-way match.
The selection unseated towards the end at Lingfield in a warm race last time. It was a 0-125 handicap won by a Paul Nicholls' unexposed hurdler, and it looked a fair bit of form.
The Doyen Chief was under a bit of pressure late and unseated, but he's back in calmer waters today and to use the horrible cliche - could be using this as a confidence booster.
He previously had won a novices' at Market Rasen before Christmas, and won easily at a short price. He ran well previously in a good race at Ludlow, and I think he might suit some decent ground.
I am not surprised his trainer Alan King is searching for the better ground at Taunton, and while most progeny of Doyen love testing ground, it's not a hard and fast rule and he acted well on good to soft earlier in his career.
I put up Hashtag Boum last time and she was a non-runner, but I am sticking with the 7yo mare again for Ruth Jefferson as I've been waiting for her to run over 3m.
I get my wish this afternoon at Rasen.
She won at Kelso last spring over near enough 2m7f on good to soft, and that was a good piece of form and showed that day she'll get 3m and maybe further.
Two seconds this term have been two places with no excuses. She ran well behind Harper Valley at Sedgefield over a shorter trip than ideal, but there was a big gap to the third by early 8L.
She finished second at Kelso on her last run but the pace was slow and the lack of a gallop was dead against her.
Her mark of 112 probably underplays her a little and over today's trip is worth a go.
