James Fanshawe's record over the years at Kempton is a pretty decent one with a 17% win rate and 41% placed from 600 runners and his 4yo filly Elladonna looks one who is sure to improve again.
She won on handicap debut last time from 70 back in December and seemed to appreciated the drop in trip as she had raced over 1m2f and 1m3f.
Her first few runs were not without promise too as she really caught the eye in a Wolverhampton Novice in a race where she came from too far back and was caught wide.
Drawn in 12 isn't easy, but she's a filly on the up and can certainly improve again from her new mark of 74.
Trainer Richard Hughes appears to have his horses very much forward at the moment as he's 7-20 at 35% from the last two weeks, including one or two very nice prospects.
Cinnodin is a stayer for sure and he looks the bet for the 20:00 over 2m as he has raced over further at 2m2f at Pontefract.
That was his last run back in October and he did win fresh last April on his first start of the season off a break of 111 days.
In fact, he enjoyed an excellent year with four wins and numerous placed efforts, so he has to chisel out more from his new mark and he'll need something akin to a personal best but he did produce one of his best efforts in defeat last year in the Racing League at Southwell in 0-90 class.
That Southwell race highlighted his need for a test in terms of stamina as they sprinted for home off a steady pace.
This doesn't look a great contest today and backing Hughes at the moment is a wise move considering how he has started the season.
