Storm might be hard to catch from front

Dubawi stats at 19% win at Chelmsford

The card at Chelmsford earlier on the week was a difficult one for my two selections as both were hold up horses and not much got involved from coming off the pace on the whole card, and with that in mind, horses on the speed or front-runners look a must.
One of the feature handicaps at 19:00 in Essex doesn't look the strongest, and with a small field, there's a chance that Storm Catcher, who can race handily, will be hard to peg back.
Simon Pearce's 5yo has been in far better races, and while he was well beaten in the Cambridgeshire at Newmarket (a huge 66/1), his All-Weather form is pretty good with six wins from 12 starts.
He was a winner at Lingfield last time from a mark of 90 and the switch to positive tactics worked a treat. Up 4lbs to 94, he remains in form and has C&D winning form too winning three on the spin at this track last winter.
His mark warrants a near personal best, but he wasn't beaten far in 0-105 company at the track last month, this looks easier and he's a horse with a high cruising speed.
Another fair race for Chelmsford standards comes up at 20:00 and a 0-105 with a top weight of 106, so decent stuff for tonight.
Desert Order looks by far and away the most interesting runner in this with a debut run on the All-Weather tonight, and a return from an absence of 432 days can hopefully see him justify his price of 9/43.25.
He was a most progressive 2yo in 2022 and ran second to Arrest in a Sandown maiden. Arrest went on to finish second in the St Leger this term so Desert Order could still be well in here off 95.
The son of Dubawi won the Convivial Maiden at York in his 2yo season when making all and backed it up with another turf win at Newmarket when landing a Nursery.
Tonight is his first start on the All-Weather, but he's a Dubawi and the sire has a 19% win record at Chelmsford and 35% placed.
