Paul Nicholls Superboost
Bravemansgame finished runner-up in last year's Cheltenham Gold Cup and he's never failed to finish in the top five over fences. You can back him now to finish in the top five in today's Gold Cup at 15:30 at the super-boosted price of 2/13.00.
Notoriously a very tricky race to get the winner and this year looks no different. The one who is standing out early is Gidleigh Park for Harry Fry who looks potentiallay a very classy type and goes into this race unbeaten. He won here at Cheltenham last time out and is open to further improvement now up in trip.
The big one and highlight of the week, the Cheltenham Gold Cup. Galopin Des Champs is clearly a horse of the highest quality on his day but in a race as competitive as this he's worth taking on at the prices. Fastorslow has beaten him twice in Grade 1s in Ireland and lost nothing in defeat when second to him last time out. Cheltenham should favour him more and at the prices he's a decent bet.
I'm very strong on Its On The Line in the Hunters' Chase with him and Ferns Lock looking the classiest horses in the race. The biggest factor I have is Its On The Line is so game when it turns into a slog and I'm not sure Ferns Lock will keep battling. If Its On The Line is on the premises in the closing stages I expect him to grind this out.
Dinoblue is probably the best horse in the race but I can't have her at such short odds so would much rather play Limerick Lace who looks very scopey and still open to further progress. She has a very good record at this trip and she was a very impressive winner last time out at Doncaster. Hasn't done anything wrong yet and difficult to see her out the frame.
