Cheltenham Day 1 - Champions Day Tuesday

Supreme Novices Hurdle - Jeriko is a fair bet

Tony said: "As it's non-runner money back on Betfair for all Cheltenham Festival races, it is still a very cloudy market. The stable think the world of Jeriko Du Reponet and, given the shape of the race, the 7/18.00 each-way with three places on him in the Betfair Sportsbook is fair."

Arkle Chase - Yarn will be in the Hunt

Tony said: "Hunters Yarn is interesting. There is always a mistake in him so it's a very big if but if he puts in a clear round I think he'll be up there. It is a devilishly hard race."

Champion Hurlde - Iberico Lord could thrive on soft

Tony said: "Iberico Lord is very interesting. This horse needs soft ground. With a wet forecast at the weekend that is probably why they have supplemented him to come here. I can see him going off third fav behind State Man and Irish Point."

National Hunt Chase - Ziggy is a dirty each-way option

Tony said: "The one I like is Salvador Ziggy. He has a similar level of form to the front two in the market and was second in the Pertemps. Apparently he bled after the last time we saw him in October so whether by accident or design he comes here off a long break. The each-way angle, if not filthy, is slightly dirty."

Cheltenham Day 2 - Ladies Day Wednesday

Gallagher Novices Hurdle - Blue to battle Mullins' horses

Tony said: "One of my strongest bets of the Festival is Jingko Blue in this race at 20/121.00 each-way. This horse is a big improver and he does need to step up. I do know the jockey, and they have some doubts about his jumping, but I went back and watched the recent race at Sandown and the further he went the better he jumped and the stronger he looked.

"I know Wilie Mullins has a battalion in here but Jingko Blue at 20s each-way is a very decent bet."

Champion Chase - Captain Guinness loves Cheltenham

Tony said: "I am taking a fixed odds stance here. Betfair Sportsbook have a without El Fabiolo market in which Captain Guinness is 6/17.00. Jonbon and Edwardstone have blowout potential, while Captain Guinness has a great body of work here. He has finished third in an Arkle and was second to Energuneme last time. I am hoping he chases home the favourite this time around. That's the play."

Grand Annual - Use Betfair Exchange for in-running lay

Tony said: "A short priced in-running lay on Harpers Brook is what the Betfair Exchange is for. If they do switch headgear, Ben Pauling is 2-38 with first time blinkers, but if you think a horse is going to respond, it could be that one."

Cheltenham Day 3 - St Patrick's Thursday

Ryanair Chase - Conflated's price looks inflated

Tony said: "I thought this race would cut up more than it has. Gordon Elliott said on Tuesday that he has persuaded the owners of Conflated to come here rather than the Cross Country. He is 8/19.00 with the Sportsbook and, based on his Gold Cup third over a more suitable trip, he is overpriced."

Stayers Hurdle - Park overpriced

Tony said: "I am coming round to Paisley Park. His body of work this season does not make him a 16/117.00 chance in this. I know it's a long time since he won this and, although he is not as good as ever, he has only been chinned in three photo finishes. Park his age to one side, I think he is overpriced on his work this season and his back catalogue in this race."

Pertemps Final Handicap Hurdle - Decent bet on the day

Tony said: "Hyland needs decent ground so is a bet on the day [if he gets decent ground]. They do think he is a lot better on decent ground. Another Henderson horse that has been working with headgear is Chantry House, who has apparently been going equally as good as Champ."

Cheltenham Day 4 - Gold Cup Friday

Triumph Hurdle - Bandit has drifted to Mighty price

Tony said: "I do some work with Nico De Boinville and they clearly think Sir Gino is an absolute superstar. If the trainer was in good form then 4/6 would be no problem but you have to factor that form in. When a trainer is in bad form there has to be a correction.

"I hope Warren Greatrex gets a big run out of Mighty Bandit. All the time bandits were going mad for this horse when he won earlier this season. He has traded as low as 6.25/1 on the Exchange for this and he is in the 100s now."

Albert Bartlett Novices Hurdle - Johnnywho ready to step up

Tony said: "Johnnywho is a bet, mainly because of the pedigree. He is a point-to-point winner, travelled well last time and the step up in trip will suit. If you tried to tell me he won't improve for three miles I don't believe you. You might get an extra place on the day but the 16s each-way is absolutely fine."

Gold Cup - Williams' 14/1 to triumph?

Tony said: "If you fancy L'homme Presse [to cause an upset here] then it is worth remembering that Venetia Wiliams' horses are in form."

County Hurdle - Watching brief

Tony said: "It's a watching brief on the ground. Absurde got taken out of the Supreme and, off a mark of 138 in a County Hurdle, I wouldn't say it's a stunning mark, but it is attractive. The problem is he does want decent ground. I think he will go off favourite and I will probably back him win only on the Exchange."
