Paul Higham likes the look of a 9/52.80 shout for the USA v Germany as his best bet for Saturday's World Cup warm-ups, with England and Scotland tipped to get off to a winning start in the USA.

Belgium v Tunisia Tip - A clean sheet in Red Devils win

Saturday 6 June, 14:00 kick-off

This is Belgium's first home game of the year and one they're fully expected to win as 3/101.30 favourites after beating Croatia 2-0 on Tuesday and with Tunisia winning just once in six (against Haiti) including a 1-0 loss to Austria last time out.

Tunisia have still generally defended well (they didn't concede a goal in World Cup qualifying) and with their last five matches going under 2.5 goals while Belgium have four clean sheets in five at home, I've got this one down as a home win to nil.

Portugal v Chile Tip - A home win with goals at 6/42.50

Six wins in seven at home for Roberto Martinez's Portugal, who face a Chile side not involved in the World Cup this summer, so maybe lacking in motivation in what's their only friendly of this window. They also lost 4-1 in New Zeland last time out.

There's no PSG players involved so chances for others to stake a claim for Portugal, and that could mean a relatively full-blooded home performance. Portugal have conceded in four of six at home and although Chile might lack discipline they could play freely - so we'll swerve the win to nil and instead go for a few goals.

USA v Germany Tip - Back 9/52.80 Germany in a Chicago shootout

A huge game for the World Cup hosts at Soldier Field in Chicago - Mauricio Pochettino's USA beat Senegal 3-2 on Sunday, but after losing to Belgium and Portugal in March they're winless in 10 against European sides. Beating four-time world champions Germany as big 4/15.00 underdogs would be some statement.

But Germany are flying, winning eight on the spin including a 4-0 thrashing of Finland on Sunday before flying out to the United States. And they rarely lose to teams below them in the FIFA rankings - just once in 21 in fact.

Goals have been flying in for both sides, the USA scoring 2+ in five of six and Germany in seven of eight - with both teams scoring in four of the last five meetings and the USA doing well in winning two of the last four. But the hosts have conceded too many goals so they'll likely come up short in a shootout.

Switzerland v Australia Tip - No rollover for 12/53.40 Swiss

Australia have lost to Colombia, USA and Mexico since qualifying, and now World No.19 Switzerland are favourites to add to that list of top sides the Aussies are unable to deal with.

Switzerland's last 11 wins have come by a 2+ goal margin too so when they get ahead they really step on the gas - it may not be that easy as Australia have only lost by two or more once in 34 games, although that was recently against Colombia.

But this should be a bit tighter as five of Switzerland's last seveb games outside their own country have seen under 2.5 goals.

Bolivia v Scotland Tip - Scots to grind out a win

Scotland return to the World Cup after 28 years with this warm-up game against a Bolivia side who agonisingly missed out on ending a 32-year absence by losing a play-off to Iraq. This is their first outing since and they're huge 6/17.00 underdogs in New Jersey.

It'll be a warm one for Steve Clarke's men as they acclimatize so I'd temper expectations a bit, almost enough to say they could make hard work of this and even draw the game - but they should have enough to squeeze out a win.

England v New Zealand Tip - Three Lions to win at a stroll

Right then, England get their warm-ups going with what should be a routine win over World No.85 side New Zealand, who were battered 4-0 by Haiti on Wednesday to make it eight defeats in 10. They're also winless in 16 games against European teams.

So it should be a relative stroll in the Florida sunshine for Thomas Tuchel's side, but a tough assignment to dig out some value with plenty of breaks in play and substitutions expected. The Three Lions have had 11 wins to nil in the last 14 games, but that's a just a 1/31.33 shot as a result.

I don't like to single out player props bets in friendlies, but if Tuchel opts to take it easy with Kane and give Ollie Watkins a start I'll back him to score 2+ goals at 13/53.60 with the form he's been in. But for the most likely outcome it's for this deep England squad to win pretty handily.
