Arsenal drift as Man City enter Declan race

Manchester City have entered the race to sign Declan Rice and could scupper Arsenal's plans to sign the England midfielder.

The Gunners are still the favourites but they have drifted to 1/31.33 , with City shortening to 11/43.75 from 12/113.00 as their interest became known, in the Betfair Sportsbook market on Rice's future.

The east London club rejected an £80m offer from Arsenal, for whom Rice is their top summer transfer window target, and are said to want £100m.

City are expected to make their own bid in a move that could rattle Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta who sees the signing of Rice as central to his plans for strengthening his side.

Manchester United 12/113.00 have been linked with Rice for years but their odds suggest they are out of the running.

The same is true of Chelsea 14/115.00 and Bayern Munich 16/117.00, so it looks almost certain to come down to a choice between Arsenal and City for the player who is currently on England Euro 2024 qualifiers duty.
