Marcus misfired for us last night in Bochum, as Monsieur Thuram failed to hit the net and his Borussia Mönchengladbach side lost 2-1. We move on.
We'll swap Germany's industrial heartland for its capital, because Union Berlin are up against Augsburg, and I think Union's final home game of 2022 will be livelier than the market anticipates.
Union were given a real shock to the system on Sunday, as they collapsed completely in a 5-0 defeat at Bayer Leverkusen. All five goals came in the second half as the Iron Ones made the kind of errors we are simply not used to seeing them make. With Bayern finding the kind of form that makes them champions every year, Union have perhaps unsurprisingly been knocked off top spot.
Indeed, it feels as if Union's Herculean efforts this term are taking their toll, and the squad is desperate to get to the winter break. A club with only three Bundesliga seasons under its belt has qualified for the knockout stage of the Europa League (they will play Ajax in the last 32) and has already put 26 points on the board. It's no exaggeration to say that Union's top target every season is to stay up, and they are closing in on that goal already.
Augsburg have had fluctuating fortunes under new coach Enrico Maassen. A worryingly poor start was followed by an excellent run of three straight wins, and now the Swabians have gone five top-flight matches without a victory. There seems to be something of an ideological split occurring, with Maassen wanting the team to play expansive attacking football, and influential goalkeeper Rafal Gikiewicz described those ambitions as "nonsense".
Augsburg are leaking plenty of goals, but they are scoring too. They have found the net in each of their last eight league matches, and the last six have seen BTTS and Over 2.5 Goals bets land. They have only kept two clean sheets in their 13 Bundesliga matches.
Both Teams To Score is trading at 2.111/10 here, and given that a usually-reliable Union defence has kept just two clean sheets in its last six games, and that this looks like a tiring squad, I think we could see both sides find the net.
