Strasbourg boss Julien Stephan is under pressure

After picking up a winner in Germany, Kev's taking us over the border to France.

  • 11 of 14 Lorient games have featured three goals or more
  • Struggling Strasbourg conceding plenty of goals

Strasbourg v Lorient
Sunday 13 November, 16:05

Our BTTS bet in Germany landed early in the second half, so we could enjoy the conclusion of Fortuna Düsseldorf v Kaiserslautern. Fortuna didn't enjoy it much, because Lautern grabbed a last-gasp winner.

We'll head to France now, because Strasbourg are up against Lorient in Ligue 1, and there's every reason to think goals will be on the cards.

Lorient were expected to struggle against relegation this term, but they have actually exceeded expectations, winning eight of their first 14 matches. They are sixth, and are averaging nearly two points per game, despite a recent slump that has seen them collect just two points from the last four games. Goals backers are very much enjoying Lorient's season, as 11 of their 14 top-flight games have featured at least three goals.

While Lorient are defying expectations, Strasbourg are falling below theirs. Coach Julien Stephan is under increasing pressure, with just one win collected in the top flight. Of the 14 games the Alsatian side has played this term in Ligue 1, eight have featured three goals or more, and 11 have seen both teams find the net.

I'll happily back Over 2.5 Goals here at 1.758/11. Given the form of the sides, I actually think that's a generous price.
