"Luiz Felips Scolari should get some uplift as new Gremio manager but a first goal in five games may be the limit against derbu rivals Internacional."
Paul Higham says Luiz Felipe Scolari's return to Gremio can at least see them score a goal in their derby clash with Internacional...
Gremio v Internacional
Saturday 10 July 20:30 BST kick-off
Try telling the fans of Gremio and Internacional that the Euro 2020 or Copa America finals are the biggest games of the weekend, with their 'GreNal' derby taking place on Saturday night.
This clash of the Porto Alegre rivals is a huge fixture in Brazilian football and has the added incentive of both teams struggling for form at present.
Gremio are rock bottom of the Brazilian Serie A having failed to win and bagged just two points from their eight league games so far, making them dodgy 2.26/5 favourites to say the least.
Internacional only have two wins from 10 themselves, but both of those have come away from home so they'll fancy their chances of winning as 4.03/1 outsiders.
Gremio will hope for a boost, though, from their not-so-secret weapon after bringing legendary former Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari back to manage them for a fourth time at the age of 72.
Scolari will surely provide a new manager bounce, but whether that's enough to get a win for his strugglers is another matter.
Internacional are a solid away side so should be able to score at least, and the best Scolari's side could perhaps hope for is to score themselves and grab a draw.
While the result could go either way in games involving two out-of-form sides, goals at both ends seems assured.
