Monday's League Two play-off final looks likely to be a close fought contest - and the layers' odds certainly agree.

It should certainly be competitive and with so much at stake, there looks to be some good value in the cards market.

Over 40 booking points (it's 10 for a yellow card, 25 for a red) is chalked up as a 7/5 shot but that looks too big.

Five of the last nine League Two play-off finals have seen this land, while this year's showdown features one of the division's most ill-disciplined sides.

Morecambe are bottom of the fair-play table having collected more red cards (6) than any other side, not to mention 71 yellows.

Newport aren't so dirty but they've still amassed five red cards during the campaign. Another sending off in this match is a 4/1 shot.

However, it's the over/under market which appeals most given those figures.

Over 40 booking points has already landed in both play-off finals this weekend with the various teams' seasons on the line.

One of the two regular-season meetings between the sides also delivered more than 40 points, while both games saw a red card.

Referee Bobby Madley could be better but he's still hit this figure on several recent occasions so he's not enough to put me off.
