Fenerbahce had to do some heavy lifting for us last night, but they roared back from 3-0 down to draw 3-3 against Rennes to land our Bet Builder. The week has turned around, and now we're looking to move into profit with another Sportsbook selection. This time we are heading to France, because Lens are up against Toulouse, and I fancy the hosts to continue their excellent start to the campaign.
The Blood and Gold moved into the top two last weekend as they edged out Marseille 1-0 at the Velodrome. Former Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Brice Samba was in exceptional form, and David Costa grabbed a late winner. With a mix of great recruitment and smart coaching by Franck Haise, Lens have surged out of the second tier and become an established top-half side in Ligue 1. Lens have won eight of their 12 games in Ligue 1 so far, and five of those eight victories have featured fewer than four goals.
Toulouse have lost three of their last four on the road, scoring just three times across that quartet of outings. They have admittedly stabilised after a poor start, and are unbeaten in their last four games. They are already seven points above the dropzone, which is a good place to be for a newly promoted side.
The market expects goals tonight, but I'm not so sure. Lens' last four games in Ligue 1 have only featured one goal apiece, and they have conceded just eight goals in the league. They have won their last three home games 1-0, so I'll use the Sportsbook to back Lens to win and Under 3.5 Goals at 2.3811/8.
