We're off to France this evening

We're starting our weekend in France, and Kev's looking for excitement in the second division.

Laval v Nimes
Friday 26 May, 19:45

We were absolutely right to back Mallorca to get a result against Valencia, as the island club won 1-0 to keep Los Che in trouble at the wrong end of the table. Frustratingly though, our Bet Builder was sunk by a shortage of corners, as we ended up two flag-kicks short.

We'll head to France now, because there's an almighty scramble to avoid relegation to the third tier, as I've picked out Laval v Nimes as a potential source of excitement.

Laval are in the dropzone and this is their final home game, so straight away there's a compulsion to play on the front foot. Laval won promotion from the Championnat National as champions last term, but they have lost 20 of their 36 league games.

However, Olivier Frapolli's side have shown signs of life of late, winning three of their last five matches. All five of those games have featured at least three goals, as have 21 of their 36 league outings.

Nimes are already down, so they can play with a bit of freedom, and their recent games have been quite chaotic. The last five have featured at least three goals, as have 18 of their 36 matches in the second tier this term.

Both teams have had defensive deficiencies this season, Laval have to go for it, and Over 2.5 Goals seems attractively priced here on the Exchange at 1.84/5.
