Friday Football Tips: Back a Bees duo for stinging shots

The Premier League is back on Friday with a nice little opening tussle between promoted Brentford and an Arsenal side with a point to prove this season.

What a huge night it is for the Bees to finally be back in the big time after a few years of knocking on the door, but it's also crucial the Gunners get a good start in what is also a huge season for them.

Mikel Arteta needs to show some definite signs of them heading in the right direction and with no European football there's no real excuse for them not pushing for a top four spot.

However, here we've been looking at the stats that might help us pick out some prop bet value for the opening game of the campaign.

Since it's the first league since 1947 recent head-to-head form is a bit thin on the ground, so we're going on what we know of the two sides.

Brentford's threat is obvious - Ivan Toney bagged 33 goals last season and also laid on 10 assists. He scored first 12 times and is 6.86/1 to score the first goal of this game - and the first of the Premier League season.

Toney is just 1.364/11 to get a shot on target in against the Gunners after registering 58 last season at an average of 1.36 every 90 minutes. He's a solid base for any Bet Builder multiple.

With all eyes on Toney though former Liverpool forward Sergi Canos is a little under the radar and he represents some value at 2.35/4 to hit the target given he averages a shot on target every 90 minutes and over three shots per game.

Only Alexandre Lacazette and Nicolas Pepe can match the output from Canos, albeit he's been operating at a lower level, and that sort of production warrants your attention.

It could be a tough start for Brentford, but together these two can at least find the target to start our season off in style.
