Bournemouth v Luton: Back Hatters' attack in 5/2 Bet Builder

Carlton Morris: Has had a shot on target in eight of his last nine games

Our football props column has a 5/2 Bet Builder which backs the Luton attack on their Premier League trip to Bournemouth on Wednesday night.

Bournemouth v Luton
Wednesday 13 March, 19:30

Luton's attacking approach to the Premier League relegation fight has been refreshing and good to watch.

They may head into this game - the one originally abandoned at 1-1 due to Tom Lockyer's cardiac arrest - three points from safety but they know victory in it will lift them out of the drop zone.

Even if a win is not forthcoming, the likelihood of rivals Nottingham Forest and Everton losing points in what looks set to become a farce of a relegation battle, means the Hatters retain great hope of survival.

Leg 1: Both teams to score

Their ability to score goals is key to that hope - they've found the net in 21 of their 27 Premier League games so far. That 79% ratio is the best in the league.

The problems have been at the other end, hence a run of seven games without a win with only two draws in that period.

Both teams to score has landed in all seven of those matches, while if we look at the games they have played against the teams below Bournemouth in the table, BTTS has occurred in all six.

English Premier League - Both Teams to Score

Team Games BTTS %
Man Utd 38 27 71
Liverpool 38 26 68
Bournemouth 38 25 66
Newcastle 38 25 66
Chelsea 38 24 63

As for Bournemouth, they've scored and conceded in six of the nine matches they've played against the teams below them, so I'm more than happy to base our Bet Builder on both teams to score.

Leg 2: Carlton Morris 1+ shot on target

I'm also keen to get with Luton in an attacking sense and will do so by backing Carlton Morris and Ross Barkley in the shots markets.

Morris has led the line admirably of late and has managed a shot on target in eight of his last nine appearances.

Leg 3: Ross Barkley 2+ shots

As for Barkley, he leads the way for Luton in terms of shots-per-game and shots-per-90-minutes this season.

He's now had at least two shots in 12 of his last 15 games and with Bournemouth's defence hardly regarded as watertight - and the shots conceded data backs that up - a player being tipped for an England recall can deliver on that front again.

The treble pays around 5/23.50.

For those seeking something bigger, it can be enhanced to around 13/27.50 by adding Luton/Draw in the double-chance market.

Bournemouth have won just one of their last nine in the league and only earned a point at home to rock-bottom Sheffield United on Saturday thanks to a late goal. They had trailed 2-0.

Luton, meanwhile, have lost just one of those six games against the teams below Bournemouth in the table.

Back Morris 1+ shots on target, Barkley 2+ shots & BTTS @ 5/23.50
