It was a Norwegian nosedive for us last night, as Molde turned on the style to thrash our boys Häcken 5-1. We're back to square one this week, but we still have time to power into the black.

We'll head to Germany now, because Bochum are up against Mainz in the Bundesliga, and even though both teams are struggling badly I think we'll see goals.

Mainz have finished in the top half in each of the last two seasons, but they find themselves embroiled in a relegation battle. Coach Bo Svensson has plenty of credit in the bank, so there are no fears he'll be jettisoned just yet, but the ZeroFivers need to start winning sooner rather than later.

Svensson's side lost momentum towards the end of last season, a run that cost them a place in European competition, and it's become something of a negative spiral. They have now gone 13 Bundesliga matches without a win, and a previously compact and organised side is now leaking goals regularly. Mainz have conceded a league-high 22 goals in eight games.

Bochum are with Mainz in the automatic relegation zone, and they have also struggled to keep clean sheets, having shipped 21 goals so far. They haven't won since the final day of last season, when they clinched survival by beating Bayer Leverkusen 3-0. It's fair to say Thomas Letsch's side has had a tough opening run of fixtures, as they have already had to face Bayern, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, Freiburg and an already rampant Stuttgart.

I'm amazed that we can back Over 2.5 Goals here at 1.824/5. The Bundesliga as a whole is averaging well over three goals per game, and these are two of the worst defences in the division. Mainz have seen seven of their eight league games feature three goals or more, and for Bochum an Over 2.5 Goals wager has landed in five out of eight.
