Adam Armstrong can add to his goals tally against Coventry

Paul Higham has a [15/2] Bet Builder treble for Coventry's tip to Southampton, where the two in-form strikers are backed to add to their impressive goal tallies...

It's now three games without a win for Southampton as their hopes of automatic promotion have slipped away, but they're comfortably in the play-offs with a 12-point gap to seventh place.

Coventry happen to occupy that seventh spot just outside the play-offs, but with a game in hand and four points behind Norwich in sixth they've got every chance of making a charge.

Saints have a fine home record overall this season but they've won just one of four lately, while Coventry have been fantastic on the road, something's got to give...

Leg 1: Over 3.5 goals

It's just 23/202.15 on over 3.5 goals but with good reason as Southampton's home games have averaged over 3.5 goals per game this season.

Coventry have scored 2+ goals in their last three away games and are the third top scorers in the division on the road.

This looks a likely candidate for goals.

English Football League - Championship - Overs Unders 3.5

Team Games 3.5 %
QPR 46 17 37
Coventry 46 17 37
Hull 49 17 35
Southampton 48 16 33
Wrexham 46 15 33

Leg 2: Adam Armstrong to score

We'll keep it simple today and since we're backing plenty of goals we'll go with the two in-form goalscorers on either side to get them.

Firstly for the hosts it's Adam Armstrong at 13/102.30 to score anytime, after bagging 20 goals this season for Saints - and four of those in the last five games.

It's great scoring form considering Saints have wobbled a bit of late and although he didn't score in the reverse fixture he got an assist and had six attempts at goal so more of that should result in a goal this time around.

Leg 3: Ellis Simms to score

Coventry's Eillis Simms is in even better form this year - in fact nobody's in better scoring form in the entire top four divisions in England.

Simms has 15 goals in 2024, with 12 in his last eight games, scoring in his last four outings and notching twice in each of his last two away games.

He's 9/43.25 to score at St Mary's and that represents a decent price considering his recent hot form.
