Burnley are stepping up their preparations for a return to Premier League action with a trip to Portugal to face Benfica.

Vincent Kompany's side have played just once so far this summer and the hosts are certainly ahead of them in that regard with this their fifth outing of pre-season.

It's all about fitness at this stage of course and betting on friendlies is always tricky, but this one looks like a decent opportunity.

Leg 1: Benfica to win

The hosts are 1/21.50 to win and that's fair enough given the standing of the two sides put on top of Benfica's pre-season form so far with four wins out of four.

The Eagles have scored 11 goals in those four games too while conceding just two so you really have to fancy them to add another win.

For their part, the Clarets lost 2-0 to Belgian side Genk in their opening game of pre-season, and while Kompany works on his Premier League plans the result won't be at the top of his mind.

Leg 2: Over 3.5 goals

Benfica had had no problems sticking a few goals in during pre-season, with Angel Di Maria and Goncalo Ramos in particular finding the net regularly.

They'll cause Burnley's defence problems but the Clarets themselves should have themselves a bit more organised going forward than in the first game.
