Ange's Fond farewell?

Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou leads his Hoops back to Hampden as Celtic aim to complete a historic clean sweep of trophies. Having already beaten Rangers in the League Cup final and held Michael Beale's team at arm's length in the Premiership, Saturday could complete the set.

To make it five trophies from a possible six for the former Australian national team coach, his Bhoys must better an Inverness Caledonian Thistle side with an exciting history of causing big-game upsets.

Talks are reportedly at an advanced stage, with Ange picked as the most likely man to take control at Tottenham, but he has a job to do in Glasgow first.

Postecoglou to become the next Tottenham manager is currently available at 8/15 on the Betfair Exchange.

Jota made the difference

Postecoglou won a double during his first season in charge, with the Scottish Cup proving a bridge too far.

A year later, the popular gaffer aims to secure that elusive gong against Championship opposition. The Hoops secured their spot in the final with a nerve-shredding 1-0 win over Rangers in the Old Firm semi-final, Jota capitalizing on another mistake in the Gers' defence.

They warmed up for another trip to Hampden with a stunning 5-0 home win over Aberdeen on a day they were awarded the Scottish Premiership trophy and two-in-a-row.

Star striker Kyogo Furuhashi netted an early double before going off injured, with the other strikes credited to Oh Hyeon-gyu (two) and a Carl Starfelt header. On trophy presentation day, that's the way to celebrate.

It's widely expected Ange will go with the same team that flattened Aberdeen last week when selecting his starting 11 for Saturday.

There were rumours that Kyogo may miss the game due to injury after being withdrawn from the Aberdeen game after 50 minutes, but his gaffer was quoted saying he doesn't think it's severe and will start.

Caley dream of another giant-killing

Inverness and Celtic are no strangers to meeting in competitive action, with the pair facing off 48 times in the past.

As you would expect, the Glasgow club boasts the lion's share of victories with 34, while ICT has seven wins and the others ending level. Their last success against Saturday's opponent came back in the 2015 Scottish Cup, winning 3-2 after extra time to record one of the most famous wins in the club's history.

The Scottish Championship secured their ticket to the final with a confidence-boosting and fully deserved win over fellow lower league opposition in League One Falkirk.

Caley made a mockery of what was expected to be a competitive semi-final, winning 3-0 with Billy McKay scoring a double and Daniel MacKay putting the game to bed.

Speaking to the press after helping book his team's spot in the decider, Mckay said they were ruthless and can't wait for more of the same in the final.

Inverness finished sixth in the Championship, missing the playoffs by two points, and took just one of the last six points available.

The Highlanders were last seen in action losing to Ayr United at home, but it was apparent manager Billy Dodds had one eye on Saturday's game.

Former Rangers striker Dodds reminded fans this week that Scottish Cup history is littered with miracles and shock results. Indeed Inverness beating Celtic in the final would rank amongst the biggest upsets.

Bhoys are deserving favourites

When looking through the betting, you won't find any surprises. Premiership champions Celtic are the red-hot favourites to beat a midtable Championship team in the final. But this is a one-off game where anything can and often does happen.

Celtic can be backed at no more than 1.132/15 on the Exchange, giving an idea of what to expect. Inverness is 2120/1 with the draw [10.5).

If you don't fancy an upset win for Caley, there's not much point in playing the match betting market, but other gems are available.

Following a brief rest, striker Kyogo should be back to his best, and he's worth backing to score two or more goals at 23/103.30 on the Sportsbook, and that's our best bet given the attacker's form this season.

Over 2.5 goals in the game looks worth a spot in your weekend multiples, while those expecting Inverness to put up a fight may want to back both teams to score at even money on the Sportsbook.
