Blackburn Rovers gave us a run for our money at Ewood Park last night, but ultimately came up short. Tony Mowbray's hosts quickly went 0-2 against Newcastle, but recovered to make it 2-2 at half-time and had a big chance to win the game after the break. In the end, it finished 2-2 and the Premier League visitors went on to win 4-2 in extra-time.

Today our quest for a winner takes across the Channel to St Etienne, where on tonight's five Ligue 1 games brings Marseille to Stade Geoffroy-Guichard. Last season, this fixture finished 2-2 and we reckon there are more goals on the way tonight.

This season, Les Verts have gone W7-D2-L0 on home turf, but the opposition has been relatively weak: 8/9 previous visitors are now in the wrong half of the league.
