Football Bet of the Day: Sociedad to swallow up Leganes

Standard Liege beat Lokeren 3-1 in Belgium last night, landing three points for themselves and a BTTS bet for us.

We start the weekend in Spain, where Real Sociedad are now unbeaten in six Liga matches under new coach Imanol Alguacil (W3-D3). The Basques are into the top half of the table and we fancy they can maintain their good form at home to 11th-placed Leganes this afternoon.

Sociedad's last home game brought a 2-1 win in the derby with Athletic Bilbao. They've now won 3/6 at Anoeta after making an uncharacteristically poor start to the campaign. The real meat behind this bet comes from the Leganes side, however.

Mauricio Pellegrino's visitors are W2-D3-L7 on the road this term. The victories have both come against bottom-six sides. Since returning to La Liga in 2016, the Cucumber Growers (really) have done most of their best work on home soil. Away from home, they have lost 31/50 and never beaten a team that has finished in the top half.
