"Standard Liege have conceded in 9/12 home matches since the beginning of the season"
Plucky Lokeren have scored on each of their last three trips to Standard Liege and Tobias Gourlay fancies both teams to find the net again tonight
Standard Liege v Lokeren
Friday 19:30
Newcastle Jets turned on the after-burners in Australia this morning. A couple of late-ish goals gave them a 3-1 win over Melbourne City that contained far too much excitement for our needs. A similar scoreline would be much more welcome in Belgium this evening.
Lokeren are five points adrift at the bottom of the First Division table and have built a dismal W0-D2-L10 away record. However, they have scored on each of their last three trips to Standard Liege and we like the even money about BTTS tonight.
Lokeren are predictably without a clean sheet on the road this term. At the other end, however - and in defiance of that wretched record - they have scored themselves in 10/12 away games.
Standard Liege are up to fourth in the table, having won each of their last five at Stade Maurice Dufrasne. However, the Reds have conceded in 4/5 on that run and 9/12 since the beginning of the season. They deserve to be heavy favourites for this one, but we fancy their defence will creak at some point.
