Football Bet of the Day: Final-day flourish in France

The fjord gates never opened in Norway yesterday. Sandefjord shut out Skeid for a 1-0 win that meant a loss for our BTTS bet.

We're looking to atone for that result in France, where tonight brings the final round of the 2018/19 Ligue 2 championship. Promotion has already been decided - the top three are away and gone - which leaves top-half outfits like seventh-placed Le Havre and sixth-placed Lorient with very little to play for. In fact, Lorient are six points clear of Le Havre, so the pair cannot even switch places after tonight's encounter. With the pressure off, we're hoping they will serve up something a bit special.

As Lorient's campaign has petered out in recent weeks, Mickael Landreau's men have delivered Over 2.5 Goals in 4/5 away matches. Throwing caution to the wind, they have conceded at least twice in 4/5 of those games and we fancy they will play similarly fast and loose at Stade Oceane tonight.

Hosts Le Havre have also eased up recently. Four of their last five home games have produced Over 2.5 Goals as they have scored at least twice in 4/5. Over a longer period, 10/16 of their home league games have gone the same way and we think 1.9010/11 is a good price for another high scorer this evening.
