Gennaro Gattuso can strike a blow against his ex-Milan team mate Andrea Pirlo tonight, reckons Tobias Gourlay
"Napoli are on a winning streak of four that includes victories at second-placed AC Milan and seventh-placed Roma"
Juventus v Napoli
In Turkey yesterday, Goztepe beat Rizespor 2-0 to leave us a goal short of our target. We're on the rebound in Italy today and have found a particularly tasty looking encounter.
There are a couple of rescheduled games in Serie A tonight. The big one brings fifth-placed Napoli to third-placed Juventus. The visitors have found some form under outgoing coach Gennaro Gattuso and we're not sure the gap between these two is as big as the Match Odds suggest.
Napoli, who won the reverse fixture 1-0 in February, are on a winning streak of four that includes victories at second-placed AC Milan and seventh-placed Roma. Gattuso's men are on the charge and another win tonight would take them level on points with their hated northern rivals. As if any more incentive was needed, it'd also put them into the Champions League places.
Juventus under Andrea Pirlo this season have not been the Juventus that won the last nine Italian championships. They're nine points behind Inter (having already played one game more) and haven't won more than three matches in a row all season. The home record is still robust (W10-D2-L2) but few previous visitors have had Napoli's combination of talent, desire and good form. Last time out at the Allianz Stadium, Juve lost to 15th-placed Benevento.
While Juve have drawn just 2/14 home games this term, Napoli have drawn once in 14 on the road. And in the head-to-heads, there's been one draw in 11 league meetings. There's still a decent chance this one will go the way of Juve - they've only conceded twice in six on home turf, while Napoli have conceded at least twice in 4/6 home and away - but at these prices, we'll back the visitors to take the three points.
